COMIC ZIN Weekly Tankoubon Sales Ranking via Natalie: May 23, 2022 to May 29, 2022

Topping the COMIC ZIN’s chart for the week between May 23 and May 29 is the Izumo Ito Illustration Collection: Yoikagen volume, which is as the title suggests, is the collection of illustration belonging to the author Izumo Ito who is famously known for the Machikado Mazoku series. The volume is on the list at 4 days of sales. Number 2 sees Blend S making its 8th volume debut at 4 days of sales as well, however it has not made any appearances on the Oricon’s Top 30 sales charts since the Blog started tracking. First serialized in August 2013, the series can be found through the Manga Time Kirara Carat of which a preview of its 1st volume can be read right here for free in Japanese (click here for easy access). The Manga also received an Anime adaptation in October 2017 which spanned 12 episodes, produced by A-1 Pictures.

Shuumatsu Touring is 3rd on the list at 3 days of sales, and this is not its first time making onto the list. The last time it did so, it was featured on the chart between April 26 and May 2, 2021. However, it has so far not breached the Oricon Top 30 sales charts. Authored by Sakae Satou, the Manga began its serialization in September 2020 through Dengeki Maoh. The seinen title can also be found on Comic Walker where a number of its chapters have been made freely available in Japanese. Next, at Number 4 is the 10th volume of Shinmai Shimai no Futari Gohan with 3 days of sales. The series did make an appearance on Oricon Top 30 sales chart back in August 2020. At the time, its 8th volume managed to record 21,574 copies sold in its first 4 days. Like Shuumatsu Touring, several of its chapters can be accessed for free in Japanese via Comic Walker, so do check them out! According to its cover page as well, the series has now passed 1.4 million copies in printed circulation. Five years ago, it received a short TV commercial video released by Dengeki Online. You can watch it below.

Ueno-san wa Bukiyou makes a double placing on the week’s list with the 10th volume a spot higher than Volume 9, both volumes occupy the 5th and 6th spots respectively. The series has so far not made onto the Oricon Top 30 sales charts since the Blog started tracking. In February 2015, the Manga began its serialization journey via the Young Animal magazine and more information about it can be accessed through its official page right here (you can also check out the preview for Volume 1 here). The title also received a 12-episode TV Anime series adaptation that was broadcasted between January and March of 2019, produced by studio Lesprit. Zatsu Tabi: That’s Journey is placed 7th on the list, not its first appearance, having appeared three consecutive times before this on the COMIC ZIN charts. Unfortunately, like Ueno-san wa Bukiyou, it has not successfully charted on Oricon’s Top 30 lists since the Blog started tracking. Zatsu Tabi: That’s Journey is authored by Kenta Ishizaka and is also being serialized via Dengeki Maoh with several of its chapters available for free through Comic Walker in Japanese. You can also check out this short and recent promotional video that was released through KADOKAWA’s official Youtube channel to promote the title.

The final two volumes on this list would be Damon de Toyohashi ga Suki tte Ittoru jan! Volume 4 and Ore wa Lolicon ja Nai! Volume 5, both sharing a spot at Number 9 at 4 days and 3 days of sales respectively. Tae Sano is the author of Damon de Toyohashi ga Suki tte Ittoru jan! which began its serialization in the year 2020 via Take Shobo’s Manga Life magazine. You can actually check out a preview of its 1st volume right here via Take Shobo’s online store. Ore wa Lolicon ja Nai! has made onto the COMIC ZIN chart before back in July 2021 for Volume 3 but has missed out on the rest. The Manga is serialized in Young Animal with more info about it can be accessed via its official page right here. You can read a preview of its first volume right here for free.
