COMIC ZIN’s list for the week between May 16 and May 22 is filled completely with new releases where of the ten titles, two of the titles here, Uma Musume Cinderella Gray Volume 7 and Kakkou no Iinazuke Volume 12 (which are placed at Number 1 and 5 respectively) were already discussed in the TSUTAYA chart for the same week right here. Skip over to Number 2 and you will find a familiar face, Kimi wa 008 which has already made multiple appearances before on COMIC ZIN’s charts but has unfortunately not done the same on any of the Oricon Top 30 sales charts since the Blog started tracking. Serialized back in February 2018, the title is worked on by the author of Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi, Syun Matsuena. Number 3 places Futaribocchi no Otaku Circle no Hime Volume 4, its first ever appearance on the COMIC ZIN’s Top 10 list at 5 days of sales. The author, Cool-kyou Shinja is surely a name that you may have already come across, as the very same author is currently working on the Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon series. As for Futaribocchi no Otaku Circle no Hime, it first began serialization in April 2020 through Young Jump magazine with a number of its chapters can be read for free in Japanese right here. The title also received a short promotional video voiced by Yukari Tamura in January 2021 of which you can check out down below.
Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai is next at Number 4 with its 9th volume at 5 days of sales. The title has made onto the Oricon’s Top 30 lists for its past two volumes where it saw Volume 7 accumulating 27,278 copies sold in its first 3 days while Volume 8 saw a 0.40% improvement to 27,388 copies sold, also in its first 3 days. As such, expect the turnout for Volume 9 to be much stronger at around 35,000 copies to 45,000 copies sold. Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai began its serialization journey in October 2019 through Young Jump magazine and on May 13 this year, it was announced to be receiving an Anime adaptation on an unannounced date (Source: ANN). Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi is 6th with its 5th volume, another title that has been making frequent appearances on the COMIC ZIN’s charts, and the series were also found placing on Oricon Top 30 charts for its 3rd and 4th volumes back in November 2021 and February this year, respectively. Copies sold for Volume 3 stood at 30,332 in its first 5 days whereas Volume 4 saw 28,996 copies sold in its first 4 days. Volume 5 is expected to sell between 30,000 copies to 35,000 copies. Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi is authored by Marcey Naitou and first serialized back in April 2021. It can be found on the Weekly Shounen Magazine website right here with several of its chapters up for read in Japanese for free. The series is also digitally published in English by Kodansha Comics with up to Volume 3 available for purchase. In September 2021, it received a short promotional video by Kodansha (voiced) that you can check out below.
At Number 7 is Okusan Volume 19 at 7 days of sales. It was previously seen on the COMIC ZIN’s sales chart way back in January 2021 with its 17th volume. The series has so far not breached Oricon’s Top 30 sales charts since the Blog started tracking. The Manga is serialized in Young King OURs GH, and you can check out a preview of its 1st volume right here in Japanese (click here for easy access). Right below is Ura no Ie no Majo Sensei Volume 3 in its first 4 days, its first ever appearance on COMIC ZIN’s list. At Number 9 and 10 are two fairly new series with the maiden debut of Onban Kikou placing atop of Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku Volume 2. The two titles are at 3 days and 5 days of sales respectively. Onban Kikou is a collection of short stories that revolve around music which first began serialization in 2021. A preview of Volume 1 can also be accessed through KADOKAWA’s page right here (click here for easy access). As for Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku, serialization began in June last year through Ultra Jump with more information can be found on its official page here, and its first chapter can be accessed for free in Japanese right here.
