The COMIC ZIN sales chart for the week between January 3 to January 9 is also filled with new releases led by the 6th volume of Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu. Note that the title has made several appearances on the Oricon’s Top 30 sales chart with the Special Edition for the 3rd volume selling 57,105 copies back in June 2020 in its first week. Volume 4 was featured in February 2021 with 55,967 copies sold in its first week as well, though Volume 5 failed to chart amid strong competition by Tokyo Revengers. Its 3-day sales may not be much of help for Volume 6, but if all goes well, it should be able to see around 30,000 copies sold. The series began serialization in Manga Cross back in 2018 with up to four volumes now out officially in English by publisher SEVEN SEAS. The author, Norio Sakurai has had some notable works such as Mitsudomoe which was adapted into Anime in 2010 and 2011. Therefore, if you are a fan of the author’s work, be sure to check it out!

Shuumatsu no Harem related releases perform quite well on the list taking three spots on the Top 10 with the “Official Guidebook” of the series being ranked the highest followed by Shuumatsu no Harem: Fantasia Volume 9 at Number 3. The main title is placed two spots below at Number 5. As mentioned in the TSUTAYA post yesterday, we can expect the 14th volume of Shuumatsu no Harem to see a strong outcome for the week, and with the ongoing broadcast of its Anime, it may see a spillover effect with its other titles. If the other two releases do not rank in the upcoming Oricon sales chart, sales are expected to still be decent. In addition to that, according to Shuumatsu no Harem: Fantasia Volume 9’s cover, the title now has 1.2 million copies in printed circulation.
Number 5 is a title you may be interested in if you like Maoujou de Oyasumi. The plot is incredibly similar with both series having princesses kidnapped by demons, but ended up giving a hard time to their kidnappers. Currently, the title is having a simulpub release via Manga Plus in English and Spanish with all chapters available freely for reading. So be sure to check it out!

The first few pages of Himesama “Goumon” no Jikan desu’s Chapter 1 in English
This is not the first time that Shio ga Mai Ko ga Mai has made it onto COMIC ZIN’s Top 10 list. The last time it did so was between July 5 to July 11 for its 6th volume. You may have heard of author Tomomi Abe through his other works such as Sora ga Haiiro dakara and Getsuyoubi no Tomodachi. Shio ga Mai Ko ga Mai is serialized in Bessatsu Shounen Champion with up to Chapter 20 available in Japanese. Feel free to give its 1st chapter a try right here!
And of course, Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san Volume 11 is on the list at Number 8. It is one of the titles on the week’s chart that is amongst the best contenders to do well on the upcoming Oricon sales chart. Volume 11 will see 3-day sales with copies sold estimated to at least be 30,000 copies and above of which a maximum of 40,000 copies sold can be expected. Previously, its 3-day sales were highest for Volume 7 which sold 44,822 copies between January 4 to January 10, 2021. Volume 10 is its weakest amongst those with 3 days of sales of 33,310 copies. With its Anime adaptation nearing (in Spring 2022), there is a chance that it will receive a boost. NBCUniversal Anime/Music has also released four voice drama through their Youtube channel, so why not give it a go in the meantime?
As for Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi Volume 4 which places 10th on the list, much of it has been elaborated in my TSUTAYA’s post, so feel free to head over right here and give it a read. Without further ado, the full list is as follows:
