A slew of new releases made their way onto the COMIC ZIN chart for the week, starting with Kaoru Mori’s SCRIBBLES Volume 1 taking the top spot, and yes, the volume does contain scribbles from the author herself. You may have heard about the Mangaka through some of her known titles, including the ongoing Otoyomegatari and the already finished, Emma which was adapted into two Anime TV series in 2005 and 2007.

Coming in at Number 2 is another illustration book, this time, it is for Akebi-chan by Hiro. The title’s main series is currently ongoing with up to nine volumes available in Japan. It currently has its Anime adaptation being broadcasted this season by CloverWorks. You can check out some its available chapters for free via Shounen Jump Plus right here. And then Kimi wa 008 Volume 17, a title that frequents the COMIC ZIN’s charts sits in at Number 3. If you are a fan of the author’s other works, such as Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi, you can give this one a try too. At Number 4 is the debut volume of Nukitashi – Nuki ge Mitaina Shima ni Sun deru Watashi wa Dou Surya Ii desu ka? a title by Qruppo and Mameojitan which began serialization in 2020, and now via Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine. You can check out its first chapter available for free right here in Japanese, but… be cautioned that the series is highly not safe for work.
Next is Haifuri Volume 9 at Number 5, a title that was adapted into a 12-episode Anime series in 2016 by Production IMS. The Manga began publication in 2015 via Comic Alive with its first chapter available here for free in Japanese. Skip over to Number 9 and you will find Bakuon!! Volume 15 by Mimana Orimoto, another title that was adapted into Anime in 2016. At Number 10 is Ballpark de Tsukamaete! Volume 5 by Tatsurou Suga which is serialized in Kodansha Morning magazine. You can give its first chapter a try here, available in Japanese.

As for other releases, I have covered Kakkou no Iinazuke Volume 10 and Kanojo mo Kanojo Volume 9 in my TSUTAYA’s post, so do check it out over there. Hakumei to Mikochi Volume 10 and Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu Volume 6 both fell 5 and 7 places respectively to end at Number 7 and 8 for the week. Without further ado, the full list is as follows:
