COMIC ZIN Weekly Tankoubon Sales Ranking via Natalie: January 10, 2022 to January 16, 2022

COMIC ZIN’s list for the week between January 10 and January 16 features several familiar titles with their new volume releases, led by Takuto Kashiki’s 10th volume of Hakumei to Mikochi. Releases from the title are not as frequent as it was last seen making debuts for Volumes 8 and 9 (around one volume a year) back in the months of January in 2020 and 2021. At the time, the 8th volume was at 53,518 copies sold in its first 6 days whereas the 9th was at 46,052 copies in its first 3 days. In 2018, the series was adapted into a 12-episode Anime series by studio Lerche from January to March, and a Special episode was released in June the same year. As for its official English translation, there are up to eight volumes available at the time of writing while the 9th volume is expected to hit shores this coming February.

Ukanmuri’s Wazawai Kitsune no Kuzure-chan Volume 3 is 3rd on the list, a series that began serialization in 2020 via Comic Ryu Web. You can check out the first 3 chapters available here in Japanese for free. A spot below is a title you are most likely familiar with, and that would be the 12th volume of Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon. Unfortunately, its sales performance on Oricon’s Top 30 charts has not been that encouraging having failed to place a spot since Volume 9 in 2019, which 6-day sales netted it 33,420 copies. In 2017, the title was given the Anime treatment by Kyoto Animation. A Special episode was aired in September that year before it saw a sequel in 2021. Like Hakumei to Mikochi, it too has official English translations out for its volumes of which there are eleven volumes up for grabs.

Skip over to Number 6 and 7 are the 2nd volumes of Saihate no Solte and Boku no Okusan wa Chotto Kowai. The author of the first is quite the veteran, having published a slew of works such as: Hoshi no Samidare, Spirit Circle and Sengoku Youko. You can check out the official Japanese release of the author’s new work right here via MAGCOMI. As for Boku no Okusan wa Chotto Kowai, the work is published via Comic Days, which serialization initially began in April of 2021. Several chapters are out for free in Japanese, so do check it out right here!

And of course Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san Volume 17 is also on the list at Number 8. Much of it has been talked about in the TSUTAYA’s chart for the same week right here, so do give it a read. Gal Gamer ni Homeraretai Volume 1 and Rokujouhitoma no Tsukimono Ishi Volume 2 were not on the list the week before, but you may want to give them a try.
