COMIC ZIN’s chart for the week between August 8 and August 14 starts off with the 7th volume of Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu in its first week, an Akita Shoten title that is currently being serialized in its Manga Cross magazine. This is not the first time the work by Norio Sakurai has appeared on the chart as it has done so a multitude of times for COMIC ZIN and even appeared on Oricon’s charts twice. Volume 3’s Special Edition saw a great 57,105 copies sold back in June 2020 in its first week whereas Volume 4 was featured on the chart between February 8 and February 14 last year at 55,967 copies sold in its first week as well. Unfortunately, the subsequent volume failed to find a spot on Oricon Top 30 henceforth. With more than 2.3 million copies in circulation including digital according to its banner (picture below), some of its Manga chapters can be read for free in Japanese right here, but of course, the Manga is also available officially in English, published by Seven Seas. In August last year, it was announced to be receiving an Anime adaptation in 2023 (Source: ANN).

Yankee JK Kuzuhana-chan settles in at Number 3 with its 12th volume in its first week. The series has appeared numerous times before on COMIC ZIN’s charts, however it has not had much luck on Oricon’s Top 30 list. According to Akita Shoten’s official Weekly Shounen Champion Twitter post, the series now has more than 450,000 copies in print. You can read some of its chapters right here in Japanese for free. Then, at Number 5 we have Dai Dark Volume 5 in its first 5 days, a series by Q Hayashida, the same author who worked on the Dorohedoro series. The work is serialized in Shogakukan’s Gessan with more information about it can be found here via its official web page. Kuchibeta Shokudou is 6th on the list with its 2nd volume, its second appearance after making a debut with Volume 1 back in December last year. At Number 7, you will find Shy with its latest and 15th volume in its first week, not its first time on the list either, but its appearances have been rather irregular. It has also not found any success in breaching the Oricon Top 30 charts since the Blog started tracking. Note that its Manga will soon receive its 1st volume officially in English this coming month of December, published by Yen Press. Tora wa Ryuu wo Mada Tabenai. makes its 1st volume debut at Number 8, a story that centres around a Tiger and a Dragon. Yako to Poko Volume 7 is next at Number 9 in its first week, its first time on the list since the Blog started tracking. The Manga is being serialized in Elegance Eve with some of its chapters available right here in Japanese for free. Finally, we have Ushiro no Shoumen Kamui-san Volume 5 sharing the same spot at Number 9 as well in its first 5 days, a Manga that is serialized in the MangaONE magazine.
